In the summer of 2011, at the height of my music career, I was on the verge of a breakthrough and just days away from taking over the local hip-hop scene and going regional as an independent artist "before JESUS came breakin' in". HE opened my eyes and called me to a real relationship with HIM to be devoted to HIM and used by HIM and study HIS WORD. I did not recall a person who ministered to me. I did not recall BIBLE verses or any sermon. It was just me and HIM and HE was serious about getting my attention. "It's time," HE said to me, and HIS WORD shook my bones and my travel trailer and everything in me knew in a moment exactly what HE meant and what HE expected me to do. I ran inside first, to check and see if anyone felt that crazy earthquake!! Nope. Parents didn't feel a thing and the dogs were fine.
I had three concerts booked, contingently, if I showed up hard in this upcoming show, so four altogether. I cancelled the other three. I shut down my music site and deleted all the music. I got my Lil' Wayne and Eminem and Jay-Z CDs... more than 50 rap albums, laid them out, took a picture, and then broke every one. Took another picture. Done.
I had one last concert to perform, since everyone was invested and the show was promoted so heavily. i didn't want to let everyone down. So I showed up and it was the most mind-blowing stage performance of my life. Satan showed up in person, or demonically, I don't know... but four different people showed up to offer me the world on a silver platter. Everything I had been chasing after was offered to me that night, and I just knew without a doubt that it was Satan. I knew he was after me because I gave my life to JESUS.
By GOD'S grace, I rejected the gifts and the offers.
I got a BIBLE and I started reading and studying.
I've been pursuing HIM and HIS WORD ever since.
These are the songs from all that time, growing in THE LORD.
I made a track in 2023, "Round Here," but it needs to be re-recorded, mixed, and mastered. LORD willing, it will be included in this upcoming album, "Make Way for THE KING"
